The Abstract Tip – Breaking the Mold

“The Abstract Tip” is not just the name of a nail salon, but a design statement that represents my approach to the beauty space as a contemporary work of art. As an interior designer, I created this project as a visual journey – where every line, material and light is suggestive and expressive, true to the spirit of “abstract” hidden in the name.

The name of the shop, The Abstract Tip, is a rich metaphor: “Tip” – the tip of the nail – is a small detail but it is where the creative spirit of nail art is expressed. Meanwhile, “Abstract” implies breaking the mold, going beyond the limits of form, opening up a free world of shapes, colors and emotions. I have transformed this spirit into the space architecture, so that each area inside the shop is like an “open work” – where there are no fixed conventions but only personal feelings.

The design uses abstract geometric language: freely curved walls, asymmetrical color blocks, and an interior system that does not follow the usual pattern. The nail salon tables are designed as artistic “islands” – with strange shapes, arranged separately in an open space to create a flexible, airy feeling. The chairs, lights and display cabinets are selected according to the criteria of innovation: contrasting materials (leather – glass – metal), colors with a contemporary art direction such as ash beige, olive green, earthy pink, burnt orange… All create a space scheme that is both unique and has visual depth.

Light is an element that I exploit as a second material in the design. The system of ceiling lights, table lamps and diffused light are all carefully calculated to create a soft movement on the surface of the material – like light passing through an abstract painting. The space is not only for working or serving, but also becomes a place where customers can “enjoy” art through their own journey of self-care.

The Abstract Tip is an attempt to move away from the commercial design rut, and instead create an experimental space where beauty is no longer a stereotype but a personal emotion. With this project, I want to emphasize that: interior design is not just about organizing space – it is about creating a living context, an artistic atmosphere, where every little corner can touch the emotions and inspire creativity in each person.
