The Olive Nest project is a delicate and emotional experiment in creating a living space with a warm, modern and artistic breath, where people can return to take refuge in the tranquility of materials, light and memories. As an interior designer, I chose the name “Olive Nest” as a visual name for an olive nest – where nature is filtered through an urban lens, where modern space is still as gentle as the canopy of trees in the afternoon sun.
Meaning of the name – Olive Nest
“Olive” is not only a warm deep green – the color of the sofa, of nature that evokes healing – but also a symbol of endurance, patience and peace. “Nest” – the nest – is an image of protection, safety and personalization. Combined, Olive Nest is a nest with a strong natural character but expressed with a modern, streamlined and profound aesthetic.

Design Language – Warm and Controlled
The living space is designed with a muted color palette – with accents, mainly olive green, wood brown, cream white and pale yellow. All elements such as:
- The olive green sofa with its soft, wavy lines – is the emotional center, both relaxing and lively.
- Warm yellow light from the ceiling light and floor lamp – not ostentatious, but like a small fire in a quiet room.
- The black and white striped carpet is a rhythmic contrast – bringing a bit of modern visual energy but still harmonious.
- Natural wood appears on the cabinets, shelves, chairs, helping to balance the smooth and rough elements, the present and the memories.

Organizing space – living and feeling
I did not design this space just to live in – but to live and feel.
- The reading nook near the wooden shelf is a resting place – where light and silence meet.
- The metal and glass coffee table – reflects everything around it softly, not dazzling but telling.
- The portrait hanging high, with its warm orange hue and calm figure – is a visual anchor, both classic and bold.

The overall spirit – a place of deep tranquility
Olive Nest is not too luxurious, not trying to show off its personality. It is mature, artistic, calm and profound – just like the person who lives in it: not needing to affirm anything other than being satisfied with himself. Everything in the space is deliberately chosen, from the light, the materials, to the empty spaces – spaces not only to see but also to breathe.

The Olive Nest project is a testament to my design philosophy: interiors are not just aesthetics, but a state of being. This space does not need to follow trends, does not need to be exaggerated – it just needs the right people, the right emotions, and the right time. With Olive Nest, I did not create a house, but a place to return to – gentle but long-lasting in memory.
