The Fern & Frost project is a highly evocative interior work – where nature and emotion meet in a space designed with a quiet, cool and luxurious language. As an interior designer, I want to create an aesthetic experience that is not simply beautiful, but a feeling – a state of mind: a peaceful, gentle feeling like walking into a small forest, where the morning dew still lingers on each fern branch.

Meaning of the name: Fern & Frost
The name Fern & Frost is the starting point for the entire design thinking.
- Fern – a fern, represents a life of endurance, softness, freshness and nostalgia.
- Frost – frost, has a vague, cold and pure quality.
These two elements seem to be opposites – one is a deep, wet forest, the other is a cold mist – but when placed next to each other, they create a poetic interior world: lush green – quiet – dreamy – high-class.

Space: “Hidden in an imaginary garden”
I designed Fern & Frost as an inner garden. The space is not too large, but every little corner is taken care of to bring the feeling of entering a “private” place – separate from the outside world. Soft light, natural materials, green trees are arranged according to the principle of biophilic design – subtly connecting people with nature.
The main color tones are:
- Light grey green – evokes a cool, forest-like feeling,
- Matte white and cool stone grey – evoke a light mist,
- Accents of warm brown wood or matte copper – retain a bit of warmth, balancing the mood.

Materials & Lighting
The materials I chose are a mix of rough natural stone, recycled wood, mineral mortar, frosted glass and rough metal – creating a material palette that is not glossy, but soft and deep.
The light is not directly emitted but is processed through many layers of reflections, through green trees, through fake water, through frosted glass – creating a visual effect like the morning mist drifting gently in the space.

Feelings & Experiences
Fern & Frost does not try to impress with its flashiness. On the contrary, I want this place to be a sensory space, where people come to slow down their breathing, to touch nature, to see themselves beautified in a healing atmosphere.
The nail table is at a comfortable height, with gentle curves like fern leaves. The chairs are spacious and comfortable, with just enough light to highlight the hands, but not to “blindly” the customers. Every detail – from the carpet, the water glasses, the scent – is chosen by me to activate the feeling of green – clean – peaceful.
