The Bare Luxe project is a personal aesthetic statement, where minimalism is sublimated into a pure luxury experience – no ostentation, no frills, but full of depth and emotion. As an interior designer, I approached this project with the mindset of “less is more”, taking simplicity as the core, and using materials – light – proportions to tell the story of quiet luxury.
The meaning of the name “Bare Luxe”
The name Bare Luxe is a combination of opposites but harmonious: “Bare” – bare, minimalist, rustic; while “Luxe” – luxurious, classy. These two elements seem contradictory, but it is this contrast that creates the main aesthetic language for the project. I do not want to talk about ostentatious beauty but aim for a gentle luxury – luxury hidden in the materials, atmosphere and emotions that the space brings. Bare Luxe is therefore not just a nail salon, but a manifesto of life – beauty in a restrained, profound and intentional way.

The entire space is led by a color palette of ivory – light beige – cool cream – nude tones. I used bleached wood, raw lime, travertine and champagne-toned metal as basic elements to build a “bare” feeling – raw but refined. The surfaces are kept in their natural texture, without elaborate polishing, creating a gentle visual effect and a genuine feeling when touched.

The space is designed with an open layout, a suitable proportion, and a balance between space and objects. The gentle curves, the softly rounded squares, the low, relaxing table and chair system create a quiet and deep flow of space. Every detail, even the smallest such as the cabinet handles or the mirror border, is refined to achieve minimalism but with highlights.
Light & Atmosphere
The light in Bare Luxe is not for show, but to highlight the silence. I arranged a system of hidden lights, recessed downlights and indirect lighting to create a layer of soft light, permeating the materials, highlighting the different porosity – smoothness – roughness – gloss. The space is covered with a layer of light mist, making everything soft, breathable and slightly meditative.

Experience & Emotion
Bare Luxe does not overwhelm people, but makes them want to stay. This space is like a quiet space in the hustle and bustle of life – a place where customers not only beautify but also recharge. Every interior element is designed to minimize visual stress, optimize comfort and increase personal connection.

Bare Luxe is a testament to the fact that interior design does not need to be “loud” to be considered classy. In this project, I chose to go the opposite way: using simplicity, silence and sophistication to touch the depth of emotions. It is the beauty of confidence in silence, luxury in its own way, very Bare Luxe.
