The Old Soul Home project is a symphony between the material of time, the mature soul, and the art of arranging memories. As an interior designer, I create this work not only with materials and proportions, but also with life experiences, old emotions, and the deep tranquility of a soul that has “gone through many seasons”.
Meaning of the name: Old Soul Home
The name Old Soul Home does not simply refer to the age of people or objects. It refers to a profound, quiet lifestyle, where space does not need noise to assert itself. “Old Soul” – refers to an experienced, understanding, slow but full of meaning individual. “Home” – is a place for that soul to reside, to be itself, not to be disturbed by the pace of modern life.

Design Language: Rustic – Calm – Sensual
I chose the design language based on three main layers:
- Natural wood is the backbone – with clear wood grain, the surface retains its rough layer, sometimes with signs of time.
- Warm and deep color palette includes mahogany brown, smoky beige, pale yellow of old wood and a bit of misty gray – not too prominent but very “lasting”.
- Soft light – do not use too strong lights, mainly pale yellow light through the blinds, evoking the feeling of dusk in a house that has lived for a long time.
Furniture: The Story of the Object
Each piece of furniture in Old Soul Home has its own voice:
- The rounded wooden chair, sitting firmly but lightly, resembles a grandfather or father.
- The wooden cabinet has dark grain, the handle is made of dull brass – not new, but very real.
- Small paintings are hung low, close to eye level – not to be admired but to be remembered.
- The sitting corners, reading corners, waiting corners – are arranged like a living scenario: not showing off, simply existing at the right time, in the right place.
